The Pensacola Navy Hospital

The Naval Hospital Pensacola is a modern eight-story, 104 bed acute medical and surgical hospital, dedicated in March, 1976. The hospital is located on NTTC Corry Station. It has an expanded capacity of 184 beds. The Naval Hospital Pensacola was the highest scoring Naval Hospital in the country and among the top 4 percent of all civilian/military hospitals surveyed in 1994/95 in gaining accreditation from the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.
The hospital provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services to a catchment area servicing 66,000 active duty, retired military personnel and dependents. The hospital is also responsible for medical care at clinics located throughout Mississippi and Northwest Florida including: Naval Coastal Systems Station (Panama City), NAS Meridian, Naval Construction Battalion Center (Gulfport, MS), NAS Whiting Field, NTTC Corry Station and NAS Pensacola.
During CY 95 there were:
- 230,500 outpatient visits,
- 5,540 inpatient admissions, and
- 782,460 outpatient and inpatient pharmacy prescriptions filled.
